What actually happens
The game is called Bodies Bodies Bodies, and so is the movie
Bee, a working-class young woman from Eastern Europe, arrives with Sophie, her rich girlfriend, for a hurricane party. The mansion belongs to the family of Sophie's best friend David. The other guests are David's girlfriend Emma, Alice, who has a podcast, Alice's new boyfriend Greg, who is a lot older, and the mysterious Jordan. Another guest, Max, had already stormed off after fighting with David the night before. After a night of dancing and drinking, everyone agrees to play Bodies Bodies Bodies, which is a murder game in the dark. During a slapping game David hits Greg, then teases him about being the corpse, so Greg goes to bed. Emma leaves after an argument with David.

A kettlebell enters the story
The storm knocks out the power. Outside, Bee comes across David with a slashed throat and a kukri covered in blood lying close by. There is no cell reception, and Sophie's car battery is dead, so nobody can go for help. The group grows suspicious of Greg, because he is carrying a go bag that holds a knife and a map. Greg thinks they are still playing the game and reacts with hostility, and Bee, terrified, hits him with a kettlebell until he is dead.
Bee gets checked against a graduation list
Alice doubts that Greg was the killer and suggests that Max, who confessed his feelings for her, came back to finish David. Sophie, who is recovering from addiction, relapses, fights with Emma, says sorry, and gets kissed by her. Later, Alice discovers Emma dead of a head wound and decides someone is picking them off one at a time. Jordan and Alice look up Bee's college and find that her name is not on the list of graduates, and they send Bee out into the hurricane.
The pet door gets used
Out in the storm, Bee finds underwear in Sophie's car that goes with a bra of Jordan's in the backseat. She sees Jordan through a window holding David's father's gun, and she sneaks back into the house via a pet door. Bee tells the group that she left school to look after her mother, who lives with borderline personality disorder. The argument keeps going. The group names Jordan as the killer in the game, and Jordan explains how she resents Sophie's drug addiction and thinks Sophie is using David to get back to her trust fund. This is the scene people dread most, and it comes near the end: when Alice throws Jordan's insecurities back at her, Jordan shoots Alice in the leg, and in the fight over the gun Alice is shot in the throat. Sophie and Jordan wrestle, and Bee shoves Jordan over the banister of the staircase. Jordan's last words to Bee are to look through Sophie's text messages, and she fires several shots toward them.
The ending, explained
The storm blows over by morning. Bee hides from Sophie, who admits she relapsed and watched Emma tumble down the stairs to her death. Bee demands to see Sophie's texts at gunpoint, Sophie throws her phone away, and in the struggle they pick up David's phone instead. It shows that David cut his own throat by accident while opening a champagne bottle with the kukri. Bee and Sophie realize that nobody committed a murder and that all the bloodshed was for nothing. Max comes back to the mansion, the power returns, and when he asks what happened, Bee says only that she has service on her phone now.
